  1. shameful bump because I want attention.
  2. Lemme paint a picture for you. I'm on a first date with this wonderful lady I met through a dating app. Everything is going well, like phenomonely well, too well. We agree on all the same topics and our senses of humor match, but differed enough that we're surprising each other with our experiences. Some way or another I bring up that I am platinum ranked in League. She just kinda laughs, acknowledges how cool and how incredible an achievement that is. We continue chatting, until I need to bio. I am about to get into the bathroom, except I forgot my phone--and in my gut there's a fat, fat storm brewing. Lo and behold, I get back to the table and my date is furiously looking through her phone. Wait--it's my phone. She had memorized my passcode! "What the hell?!" I ask, pulling my phone away. Her grip is like a vice. On the screen is some kind of LoL statistics page! "I just wanted to see your thick match history," she pleaded. "Oh god, look at all that green, oh my lord I can't believe it." Wherever I go, my amazing platinum rank follows me like a stench. Men, women, anyone: if they hear that I have extreme skill and a diverse champion pool, they only see me as some gamer Adonis. Sometimes I'll be taken home, thinking it's past-time to get funny. But then my would-be lover shows me to a computer and begs me on their hands and knees to let them witness "one short ARAM." Is that all I am? A set of fingers, a pair of eyeballs, blessed and cursed to be so much better than you at this game? My main, my main is Teemo. And sometimes I feel like a mushroom, just something to be stepped on. A piece of fungal meat. Pro League players: how do you get along with others when all they can think about is your dextrous fingers and massive map awareness? I just want a good and honest love.
  3. Yea its pretty addictive, at some point you almost forget that you are cheating.
  4. Its high, but its kinda like doping back in the early 2000's either take the drug of cheating or get passed up for not having the skill or required mechanical work. IDK its not something anyone should attempt but I dont regret it.
  5. >Start pro team >Go to worlds >Finally beat the koreans/chinese/thai >Profit?
  6. lol need a ex-pro to help you navigate the pro scene kappa. jk tho I wish I was on the EU servers I might just buy an account and hop on with yall.
  7. Ok its the next day boys time for story time. Gather around, because this one is dangerous. >First year of bouncing >Just get to work and get to the door to check ID's >Working with this big black man named Shawn who was 6'5 and like 300+ pounds >Carried a XC26 Taser International Taser Gun because I always said "someone is gonna bring a gun or knife someday." >Didnt actually think it would happen but I still carried the Taser just in case I guess. Peace of mind. >Shawn comes up and says "hey that guy has a gun over there" >Look at him and knew he liked to fuck with me so told him to shut the fuck up >He says no... people are complaining about it, he has a gun. >FUCKKKKKKKKKKK ok... Go and notify my manager. >We tell the bartenders then we approach >I say "hey man I know you have a gun and im a gun advocate but you are in a bar so you gotta put your gun in your car or take it home" >He looks pretty trashy and kinda sketchy, but he complies. >He leaves and goes down the block >15 min later... Comes back >I say "Ok man did you put your gun in your car or take it home?" >He says "Yea man I just put it in that bush over there" >I just stopped and was like WTF... "Ok man well for your saftey and the saftey of the bar Im gonna have our bouncer pat you down" >he says ok. >Shawn pats him down and stops at his ankle then rises up >Shawn says "do you think we are fucking stupid?" >He says "Whattttt??" >Shawn says "The gun is in his fucking sock" >He says "Whatttt..." >Starts backing up >Gun falls out onto the floor >I withdraw my XC26 Taser and point it at him and say "Look man dont reach for the gun or ill tase you." >He starts fucking with his backpack a little bit >I say "Ok man drop the backpack too we dont know whats in it." >My manager at the time takes the backpack and gun to the back office >Me and shawn stay over this guy the entire time till cops arrive >Shawn kinda yells at him and so do I >Me and shawn talk about how easy it would have been for him to shoot both of us. >Manager in the back office finds bag of cocaine at least half kilo and bag of xanys and small thing of weed. >He was charged with unlawful CCW (2x), possession of narcotics and control substance, and unlawful discharge of a firearm. This was a rough night, many people were worried when it happened and people just stood around while this man had a gun. Prob one of my more dangerous situations.
  8. haha thanks man ill prob be posting on this every day or so. I have done this past 5 years so I have just story after story.
  9. Another small story from when I first started bouncing. Kinda small story and was just funny to me. >Bouncing at the front door >Small chick 5ft2 blonde hair basically a bombshell. >Hands me a fake Illinois ID >Look at the ID closely and look at her >"So whats the state capital of Illinois?" >She says "Who the fuck would know that?" >I say "Someone who is from the state of Illinois." >She says "I dont know" >Sigh... "Ok then whats your zipcode?" >She says "Come on I dont just memorize my ID" >I say "Ok then... I cant let you in" >She says "Why?" >I say "Sorry mam the ID is fake" >She stops... Thinks... >Proceeds to pull up her shirt flash the entire line and me >She yells "BUT THESE TITS AINT FAKE" >Everyone in line goes nuts. >I start laughing and say "Ok here is your ID" >give her a wristband and let her in >ended up becoming friends with her
  10. Haha glad you recognize my username, not many people do. Uhhh I didnt study it and I was pretty young when 2008 happened but I did study 2008 and economics on my free time. I graduated college with comp sci and electrical engineering. But I will say I admire Ben Bernanke a lot. Some would say that he was a direct cause of 2008 but he did turn things around from getting much worse during the housing crisis. So much respect from me.
  11. 1- So yea I did and I wont give away the developer but many "pros" had gone to him and many still exist in many games with him. 2-I did not take my computer but he did make a driver software for our mice that made it work. Its better than that guy that literally downloaded word.exe on OPTIC india team lol. But yea you would think that tourny organizers are strict, honestly they are super unorganized and really relaxed on policies that should matter to integrity of E-Sports.
  12. I wish man, it seems really cool, but the work to get to it and the work I had to do just was nonequivalent. Like I said I dont regret it but I wont do it again haha.
  13. So the way the contract was written we were paid a salary monthly and then we got small amount of tournament winnings as a bonus. I would say in the year I did it I got.. about. 60k? USD. I did stream and stuff but also the org took money from our donations and what not.
  14. Ok boys, Im gonna try this again. Im gonna do story time till release of alpha and hopefully this will earn me an invite. And honestly Ive always wanted to share my stories, because I want to write a book about this shit. I have for the past 4 years done many jobs, but I started as a bouncer, and became a bartender which lead a guy to bringing me into Fugitive Recovery (also known as bounty hunting). Today at 7am im gonna start with the story of me bartending not more than 5 hours ago. I will just try to memorize day by day what kinda specific encounters I have had. Gonna also do this in green text format for all you 4channers our there. Just some brief background -Bar I work for is near the college campus -super dive bar and lots of underage (under 21) kids come in and drink with fake ids -lots of fights and bullshit like that. Anyways lets start. >Managing/Bartending today Sept 24th >Talking to some of the patrons when these really young hot looking girls I have never seen in the bar before come up to the bar. >OFC college bar so they order a well vodka sprite >"ok let me see ids" >shows ID's >OFC some states like penn. and prob fake. >Start talking to them and bring up we are looking for female bartender >Girl says "Oh I would love to bartend" >Friend looks at her and says "But you need to be 21" >I hear it start laughing and just tell her to "shhh" >she is embarrassed but I just say "its ok doesnt matter" >They tip fat and I got the girls snapchat >I guess win all around?
  15. Oof. I mean it was a really cool experience, and I started in the collegiate level and was signed after. And the building up part was great. But honestly I think the worst part and I know every pro says it, was just many things. 1) the atmosphere with other pros 2) the amount of ego 3) the level of pressure and how quickly you could be replaced 4) the mental and physical health tolls from constant practice. It became a job rather than something I enjoyed. It made me hate everything about the game and since I have never played it or watched it ever again. Kinda why I came to league but I am terrible at league and tried to look for systems like L# to become better I guess. I dont regret it, but I never want to play pro again. I see why shroud left. and without saying too much Shroud and DrDisrespect were actually people I played with and were I guess "friends". Fun all around but I guess it was time to bring it to an end.
