What each tier means, who sits at the top this season, and how to turn rankings into wins.
What the tiers mean
Heroes are graded on how much they win you the game in organised, ranked play. S tier is meta-defining, strong in almost any comp. A tier is excellent and reliable, the bulk of safe ranked picks. B tier is solid in the right hands or the right composition. Difficulty is graded separately, so a high-ceiling hero like Black Panther can sit in S tier and still be hard to pilot.

What is the best hero in Marvel Rivals right now?
The S-tier picks are the strongest in 2026: Doctor Strange, Invisible Woman, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Psylocke, Phoenix, Mantis, Luna Snow. Doctor Strange and Invisible Woman anchor the front, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Psylocke and Phoenix carry the damage, and Mantis and Luna Snow are the best healers. Any of them is a safe first pick.
What does S tier mean?
S tier heroes are meta-defining. They are strong in almost any composition, on almost any map, and need very little support to perform. A tier picks are excellent and reliable, B tier picks are solid in the right hands or the right comp.
Is the tier list based on ranked or casual play?
Rankings reflect competitive, ranked play in the current Season 2 meta. A few B-tier heroes overperform in casual lobbies where teams are less coordinated, but the order here is built around organised play and Team-Up synergy.
Who is the best Strategist in Marvel Rivals?
Mantis is the strongest Strategist for raw healing and damage amplification, and she is easy to play. Luna Snow is close behind with a dual damage and support mode that swings team fights. Both sit in S tier.
