A Major Breakthrough in Rainbow Six Siege Development

We've reached an exciting milestone in our Rainbow Six Siege research.

After extensive experimentation with the game's internal systems, our development team has successfully demonstrated a working visibility check using engine-level raycasting.

This is an important step towards building a more accurate and reliable ESP system.

Understanding Visibility

Identifying a player's position is one thing. Determining whether that player is actually visible is an entirely different challenge.

A proper visibility check needs to distinguish between targets that are directly visible and those obstructed by walls, objects or other environmental geometry.

Our latest implementation uses Rainbow Six Siege's internal raycasting functionality to evaluate these conditions.

During our initial testing, the system successfully demonstrated the ability to distinguish visible targets from obstructed ones.

The Results

Our developers have been experimenting with the game's internal raycasting methods.

The latest tests have demonstrated:

  • Visibility detection: Successfully evaluating line of sight against environmental geometry.
  • Engine integration: Working with the game's internal raycasting functionality rather than relying on basic distance calculations.
  • Real-time results: Visibility information responding to player positioning and environmental conditions.
  • Proof of concept: A functioning implementation ready for broader testing and refinement.

The accompanying screenshot shows our visibility testing in action within Rainbow Six Siege.

What's Next?

While the initial results are extremely promising, we're still in the experimental stage.

Our next priorities include validating consistency across different maps and environments, checking frame-to-frame accuracy, testing additional hardware configurations and integrating the functionality into our existing framework.

Once these stages are complete, we'll have a clearer picture of the remaining development work.

More to Come

This is exactly what Elocarry Labs is about: researching difficult technical challenges, experimenting with new approaches and sharing meaningful progress along the way.

Rainbow Six Siege remains an active research project, and we're excited about the direction development is heading.
