Dead by Daylight Skill Check Trainer
Practise skill checks in your browser. Stop the needle in the great zone, train the Doctor's mirrored checks, and watch your great rate and streak climb before your next trial. Free, no sign-up.
Green is the great zone, white is good, anything else is a miss. Space, click or tap to stop the needle.
How to practise skill checks properly
Three things that fix most missed checks.
Pick a mode
Normal is a standard generator check. Hard shrinks the zone and speeds the needle, the way Overcharge and Unnerving Presence do. Mirrored runs the needle backwards, like the Doctor's madness.
Watch the ring, not the needle
Good players look at where the zone is the moment the ring appears, then time the press. Chasing the needle with your eyes is why people miss.
Chase the great rate
Anyone can hit the white zone. The green zone at its start is what separates a fast generator from a slow one. Aim for a great rate above eighty percent in normal before you move to hard.
Why the great zone matters
A good skill check keeps the generator moving. A great one adds bonus progress on top, and perks such as Hyperfocus and Stake Out are built entirely around chaining greats. Over a full match the difference between a survivor who hits goods and one who hits greats is a generator, which is why the trainer scores them separately. Read the full breakdown in our guide to Dead by Daylight skill checks.
Build around the checks you can hit
Once your great rate is steady, perks that reward it become worth a slot. Put a build together in the perk builder, or let the survivor build generator pick a generator-focused loadout for you.
Never miss one in a real trial. Auto skill check
The Elocarry Dead by Daylight cheat includes an auto skill check that lands the great zone on generators, heals, wiggles and hook struggles, follows the Doctor's mirrored checks and adds an indicator for manual play. It ships in the same undetected build as the survivor and killer ESP, on EAC. Read how it works on the auto skill check page.
Dead by Daylight Skill Check Trainer FAQ
What is the Dead by Daylight skill check trainer?
A free browser game that runs the same skill check you get in Dead by Daylight: a needle sweeps a ring and you stop it inside the success zone, with the great zone at the start of it. It tracks your great rate, hit rate, streak and best streak so you can see yourself improve.
How accurate is it to the real game?
Close enough to train the timing. The zone sizes and needle speed are set to feel like a normal generator check, a hard check under perks like Overcharge, and the Doctor's mirrored checks. Exact in-game values change between patches, so treat it as practice, not a replica.
What is the difference between a good and a great skill check?
A good is anywhere in the wider success zone and counts as a normal hit. A great is the narrow zone at the start of it, shown in green here, and gives bonus progress in the game. A miss loses progress and makes a noise the killer can hear.
What does mirrored mode practise?
The Doctor's madness can reverse the direction of the needle, so a check you would hit on instinct is missed because the needle came from the other side. Mirrored mode runs every check backwards until reading it feels normal.
How long should I practise?
Ten minutes a day is plenty. Most players see their miss rate drop within a week once they stop watching the needle and start reading the zone position the moment the ring spawns.
Does the trainer save my results?
Your best streak and best great rate over ten or more checks are saved on this device. Session stats reset when you reload or press Reset. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no account.
Is there a way to never miss a skill check in the game?
Practice gets most players to a near-perfect hit rate. The Elocarry Dead by Daylight cheat also includes an auto skill check that lands the great zone for you, with mirrored support and an indicator for manual play. It is a paid build, undetected on EAC, and it is a different thing from this free trainer.
