EA FC 27 Shooting Assist

EA FC punishes the rushed finish more than any football game before it. The keeper reads a driven shot from a bad angle, a finesse from too close rolls wide, and a chip on a keeper who stayed home is a goal kick. The shooting assist reads the chance before you press: your angle, your distance, where the keeper is standing and who is closing you down.

From that read it recommends the shot type, finesse, driven, chip or power, and the shot power helper shows how long to hold. Range-based finishing picks the technique for the distance, one-on-one finishing support handles the keeper coming out, and precision shot guidance covers the aimed shot. It works with precision shooting and manual shooting, so you keep the stick and the assist handles the decision. The aim indicator, power bar suggestion and confidence percentage put the whole read in the overlay.

Precision Shooting Support
Works with the game's precision shooting, so the aimed shot gets the same read on angle, keeper and power as a normal one.
Manual Shooting Support
Works with manual shooting assistance off, for players who aim every shot themselves and want the read without the help.
Shot Power Helper
Shows how long to hold for the shot the assist has called, the part of finishing most players get wrong under pressure.
Shot Type Recommendations
Calls finesse, driven, chip or power for the angle, the distance and where the keeper is standing.

The moment you have the ball in a shooting position the assist has your angle, your distance, the keeper's position and the nearest defender, which is the same read a top player makes in half a second.

Calls the shot

Shot type recommendations pick the technique for the situation, and range-based finishing changes the call as you get closer: a driven finish inside the six-yard box, a finesse from the edge, a chip when the keeper rushes.

Shows the power

The shot power helper and the power bar suggestion show how long to hold, which is the part most players get wrong under pressure, and the confidence percentage tells you how good the chance really is.

Does the EA FC 27 shooting assist shoot for me?

It reads the chance and recommends the shot type and the power, and the helpers assist the hold. With Manual Input Only on, every press is yours and the overlay only advises. With Recommendation Only mode on, the same applies. How much it assists is a setting, not a fixed behaviour.

Does it work with precision shooting and manual shooting?

Yes, both are supported. Precision shooting support and manual shooting support are separate options, so the assist reads the shot however you have shooting assistance set in the game.

How does it know where the keeper is?

The goalkeeper position reader tracks the keeper as the chance develops, which is what decides between a near-post driven shot and a far-post finesse, and whether a chip is on.

Will it green every timed finish?

Precision shot guidance shows the timing, and the choice of how often to use it is yours. A player who greens every shot in a Rivals match looks like a bot in the replay, which is why the recommendation-only mode exists. Practise the timing free with the timed finishing trainer if you want to green shots yourself.
