Overlay performance and crash fix

Required setup

These are mandatory. The overlay can crash or run poorly without them.

• Enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling: Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Advanced graphics settings
• Run Discord as administrator — close every Discord process first, then reopen it as admin
• Run normal PowerShell as administrator (not the x86 version and not PowerShell 7)
• Install the latest NVIDIA or AMD drivers — this is required
• Disable your GPU overlay: the NVIDIA Overlay, or the AMD Adrenaline overlay

Turn off or remove

• Do not override DLSS presets
• Turn off NVIDIA Reflex / Ultra / Freelag and the AMD equivalent low-latency input modes
• Turn off transparency effects: Settings → Personalization → Colors
• Turn off auto replay and clipping (NVIDIA, Discord, SteelSeries and similar) — it causes GPU drops, input lag and FPS drops
• Do not plug or unplug monitors during injection, as this can crash
• Uninstall FaceIT, Vanguard, ESEA and any other boot-time anti-cheats

Display and resolution

• G-Sync or FreeSync is fine — enable it for both windowed and fullscreen apps
• Any windowed or borderless resolution is supported
• Exclusive fullscreen is not supported — use borderless windowed

General tips

• Cap your FPS to your monitor refresh rate, in your GPU control panel or in-game
• Set Windows for best performance: System Properties → Performance Options → Visual Effects → Adjust for best performance
