Rust cheat setup, wipe days and fixes
Everything for running the Rust build: what your PC needs, the setup for official and community servers, what changes on forced wipe day and the fixes that solve most problems. Rust runs Easy Anti-Cheat, and the build is internal and software only.

Rust cheat requirements
What your PC and your copy of Rust need before the first launch. The first list applies to every build we make; the second is specific to Rust.
Every build
- A Windows 10 or 11 PC. There is no macOS, Linux or console version of any build. Getting started
- A Discord account. Setup runs through the Discord, and Barry answers there around the clock.
- The game installed through a supported launcher and fully updated before you load in.
- Borderless or windowed display mode. Exclusive fullscreen is not supported and is the usual reason an overlay flickers or vanishes. Overlay settings
- No boot-time anti-cheat from another game installed, such as Riot Vanguard, FACEIT or ESEA. They can stop the loader from opening. Loader will not open
- No HTTPS interception software (Fiddler, mitmproxy) or its certificates on the PC. The anti-leak system flags them. Remove Fiddler certificates
For Rust
- Status
- Out of stock
- Anti-cheat
- EAC
- Launchers
- Steam
- Build
- Internal (runs inside the game)
- Menu
- 141 options in 17 groups
- Platform
- Windows 10 and 11 PC
- The Steam version of Rust. The build runs on official and community servers alike, because Easy Anti-Cheat protects both.
- No DMA card, second PC or capture card. The Rust build runs as software on the same Windows PC as the game.
How to set up the Rust cheat
Setup is the same four steps on every title, and most people are in a match within a few minutes of paying.
- 1 Pay, then open the onboarding email that arrives the moment payment clears. Check spam if it is not in your inbox. Getting started
- 2 Join the Elocarry Discord. Your licence and Discord role are granted automatically.
- 3 Run the one command from the onboarding email in normal PowerShell as administrator (not the x86 version and not PowerShell 7). It launches the loader.
- 4 Follow the loader, start the game, then open the in-game menu with the hotkey the loader shows. Every feature is a toggle and your settings save to your account.
Before your first Rust match
- Join your server before you look at the radar. It loads that server's own map image and detects the seed and size, so the dots sit on the right roads and monuments.
- Set your aim key and a small FOV before your first roam. Prediction already leads every shot for travel time and drop, and arrows get their own correction from bow lead damping.
- Keep recoil control below the full amount. It takes a share you set off each axis, and a spray that still moves a little reads as skill in a clip.
- On community and modded servers, keep the visible options off and check the admin player detection log in the system tab.
Rust cheat not working?
Check live status first: after a Rust update the build is paused until it is rebuilt, and that is the most common reason nothing loads. Then work through the fixes below.
The radar shows the old map after a wipe
The radar detects the new seed and map size when you join. If the old image is still showing, press the radar's reload button and it pulls the new map.
Nothing loads on forced wipe day
The monthly update on the first Thursday of the month forces a wipe and a rebuild. Update Rust in Steam, then check live status: the build is usually back the same day.
Why cheats stop working after updatesAn admin seems to be watching you
Check the admin player detection log in the system tab, turn the aimbot and recoil control off and play on information only. ESP, the radar and the threat arrows change nothing a spectator sees, as long as you do not track players through walls with your crosshair.
Fixes that work on every title
-
Nothing works after a game patch
Check live status first. Builds are paused while they are rebuilt after an update, and loading a paused build is the fastest way to waste a session or risk a ban. Live status
-
The loader will not open
Update Windows, uninstall boot-time anti-cheats (Vanguard, FACEIT, ESEA), run the command from normal PowerShell as administrator and make sure the Windows clock is synced. Loader will not open
-
The menu or ESP is not showing
Switch the game to borderless or windowed, turn off overlays that draw on top (the NVIDIA or AMD overlay, Discord clipping, Overwolf), keep the Discord overlay or RTSS set up as the setup guide says, then restart and re-inject. If the F5 debug console opens, the build is running and the problem is the overlay layer. ESP or overlay not showing
-
FPS drops, stutter or overlay crashes
Enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling, install current NVIDIA or AMD drivers, cap FPS to your refresh rate and turn off replay and clipping tools. Overlay performance and crash fix
-
The loader will not authenticate
An out-of-sync clock is the usual cause. Turn on automatic time and time zone in Windows, then sync. Connection errors are often fixed by the DNS and IPv6 steps. Fix your system clock
Rust anti-cheat
Rust runs Easy Anti-Cheat on official and community servers alike, so the server you pick does not change how the build loads. What changes is who is watching: community and modded servers often have active admins and plugins of their own.
A Rust cheating ban is recorded against your Steam account and shows on your profile as a game ban. The build is polymorphic, so its signature changes on every launch, and it is rebuilt the moment Facepunch patches the game.
Rust updates and the build
Rust's biggest patch is the monthly update on the first Thursday of the month, which forces a wipe on every server. The build is rebuilt the moment it lands and is usually back the same day, and hotfixes in between are handled the same way.
If an update takes the build down, sales pause until it is back rather than selling something that does not work, and lost time is covered by the compensation policy.
What each Rust feature does
Each feature has its own page with the real options from the Rust menu, captures from the live build and the settings players use. The full option-by-option list is on the Rust page.

Rust setup questions
What should I check before joining a community Rust server?
Turn the visible options off, check the admin player detection log in the system tab and play on information first. Community and modded servers often have active admins and plugins of their own, so they reward a quieter setup than official servers.
Do I need to set the radar up again after every wipe?
Usually not. A wipe brings a new map, and the radar detects the new seed and size when you join. If the old image is still showing, the reload button fetches the new one.
